Could it be PMOS? Expert guidance on connecting the dots between symptoms
Learn how symptoms like irregular periods, acne, hair changes, and weight concerns may be connected, how PMOS (formerly PCOS) is diagnosed, and why the condition's new name matters.
Event Summary
Irregular periods, acne, unwanted hair growth, thinning hair, weight changes, and infertility can seem like separate concerns, especially when they are addressed one at a time.
This session will explore how these symptoms may fit into a larger pattern, what patients can expect when talking with a provider about possible Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS), formerly called PCOS, and why getting to a diagnosis can take time.
We will also explain why the updated name matters and how it better reflects the condition as hormonal and metabolic, not simply an ovarian or fertility issue.
